Green Tea Ice Cream flavoured Cookies

These are not little ice creams but they are cookies that are green tea icecream flavour with chocolate chips.

I didn’t like them much.

Japanese Green Tea and Taro Soft Ice Cream

Back to our real favourite style of Japanese Ice Cream, soft cream. We like it much better than regular ‘hard’ ice cream.

This is a yummy combination of Japanese Matcha ice cream (Green Tea of course, and green in colour) and Taro ice cream (I think it is called sato potato and it was a very, very pale purple/lilac colour).

Taro ice cream is much like Ube ice cream, same kind of root potato vegetable except Ube is more purple and tastes faintly like a vanilla sweet potato.

Green Tea Ice With Red Bean and Ice Cream Only In Japan

Nice looking Japanese ice cream dessert found at a little cafe. This delicious looking thing is green tea ice, topped with nice sweetened red beans and then on top of all that a good scoop of vanilla ice cream.

It is a bit of a strange concoction, I am not that great a fan of shaved ice and ice cream together but many Japanese (and, I have heard, Hawaiians) are. For me the recipe of creamy ice cream and watery ice just doesn’t gel.

Yum, this Japanese ice cream was perfect, Matcha ice cream with azuki bean. The Azuki bean was just how I like it cooked and sweetened just right and the Match (green tea) ice cream was wonderfull as the intense flavour was bursting out. Great Japanese Ice Cream.

Delicious looking Japanese ice-cream from the tearoom Tsujiri in Isetan department store, Kyoto Japan. Lovely match ice cream with matcha rice cake, pear, rasberry jelly, matcha (green tea) sponge cake and hojicha (a roasted green tea - brown colour) sponge cake.
